Hertfordshire Game and Country Fair 2010 
Singleton Cup – Lurcher Showing Congratulation’s to Louise Croucher with Solo who was awarded this year’s Singleton Cup title. Louise from Crawley, Sussex took away the trophy, sash and the prize purse of £400 which was kindly sponsored by Living heritage. Reserve Champion was awarded to Angela Perry with Lizzie who took away the reserve trophy and a prize purse of £100. Third place went to John Miles with Jay and fourth place went to Paul Macey with Sarge who both received trophies. Special thanks go to judge Debbie Mumford who travelled the distance and took her time to make this a rewarding experience for all those who qualified. 
Judges Choice Kevin Mumford had the difficult task of choosing which dog he would most like to take home in our new championship for 2010. After much deliberation he settled on an 18 month, Bedlington cross, Chase owned by Mr Steve Hurst. Well done to Steve who received the trophy and sash. Thanks go to Anthony Hardy who kindly went into the ring on Steves behalf.
Junior Handlers Our Junior Handlers were put through their paces this year by Mr John Creed who approached the challenge with true dedication. 
After much deliberation first place for the under 10’s was awarded to Abbi Smith from Luton, who received the trophy, sash and a prize purse of £40. Reserve went to Jesse Hibberd from Hungerford who received a trophy and a £30 prize purse. 
Chloe Newsome from Lincolnshire received the sash, trophy and £40 prize purse for winning the over 10 yrs category, with reserve going to John Lambert with Flash from Reading who received a trophy and a prize purse of £30. 
A big thank you to Mr Steve Hurt who sponsored this event this year. Dog of the year 
John Miles with Hoy was awarded the dog of the year 2010. All credit must be awarded to John who never gave up when Hoy suffered a broken leg as a pup. This dog has shown outstanding progress over the year. Well done John and Hoy. | | |
